As soon as royal couple Kate and Wills announced they were pregnant, speculation amongst UK royal family observers and the press was rife about the a) the sex of the baby and b) the name of the future King or Queen of England. On July 22, George Alexander Louis, the Prince of Cambridge was born.
Choosing a baby name can be difficult for anyone, and the royal couple took their time to make the official announcement, and punters placed bets on whether the baby boy's name might be "Hashtag" at $501.00 or "Arthur" ($13) but the favorites were clearly "James" at $3.50 and "George" at $2.80 according to online bookie, Sportsbet.com.au.
We decided to crowdsource some cheeky and fun #royalbaby name graphics from our design community and launched a Royal Baby Name Ideas Logo Contest to help out Wills and Kate.
Designers were asked to submit name ideas / designs in a royal typeface. Suggestions included: "His Royal Highness Prince North West of Cambridge" and "His Royal Highness Prince Dumbledore of Cambridge". Read the the Royal Baby logo brief in full here.
Here's our pick of the top 10 funny crowdsourced #royalbaby name graphics from the DesignCrowd community replete with Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter references! If our designers had their way, Prince George would be named Prince Chipp or Prince Joffrey. Taking it one step furher wingkindefrance proposes the UK ditch the Royals and become a republic, which would mean George would become King of Cambridge Shopping Mall!

Rounding our our list is my favorite graphic from the #royalbaby hoo-ha. British satirical newspaper Private Eye' front page cover says it all.
