Anyone who ever turns on the TV or uses the internet is regularly surrounded by images of our world's leaders. Usually, those are pretty generic though: Some guy or gal in a conservative suit, dozens of microphones in their face, talking gravely about the state of their countries. Or hugging babies. Or shaking hands. Sometimes awkwardly kicking a ball. Even though we constantly see them, us common folk can't really claim to ever get a good understanding of them as people, away from scripted answers and strict running schedules.
At DesignCrowd, we like to poke behind the curtain of politics occasionally, to see what our leaders may be like beyond the stuffy exterior. We've charged our amazing cohort of over 400,000 graphic and Photoshop designers time and again to show us new angles of our world's politicians.
We've asked them to show us what really happened at the G20, and what a shirtfront between Abbott and Putin would actually look like. We wondered what politicians do at home, and how they would look like as hipsters. We got them involved in the ice bucket challenge, mused about their true nature in a Game of Thrones mash-up, and made them mustache-growing charity participants and even Calvin Klein models. Here's a look back on some of our favorite entries from these past contests.
What could have happened at Brisbane's G20... If our world leaders would just agree to go in One Direction.
